Courses on offer
The great thing about ROCK Gibraltar is the fact that there are so many courses on offer. Whether it’s a simple practical sailing course you’re after or something more unique, there’s plenty to go around. The RYA day Skipper tidal course is for those with experience who want to improve their skills further, whilst the Flotilla Training Course is perfect for beginners looking to learn crewing and skippering techniques for their International Certificate of Competence. Whether you’re looking for a course in practical sailing or merely to brush up on your theory, there’ll be something for all ages and skillsets.
The ROCK sailing club also offers chartered boats and sailing experiences. Whether you’re a family looking to learn about sailing together or just a few friends looking to have some fun on a boat, you can charter one of our crews to take you sailing along the beautiful strait of Gibraltar. There’s plenty to see in the area, with Morocco just across the strait. Included in the deal is fuel, mooring fees, bedding and a RYA instructor. All of these included in your fee and a choice of boats makes this one of the best sailing deals in the area.
All the yachts used by ROCK sailing club are high quality variations on the Bavaria or the Jeanneau yacht. Each comes with furling headsails, GPS, chart plotters, radar, VHF/DSC radios and even CD players. The Bavaria variation yachts are 36 feet with great all round promise whilst the 40 foot Jeanneau Rockefeller is perfect for those thrill seekers looking for something with that extra bit of speed. Other boats include the Scarlett Lady and the Bombay Sapphire, 2 boats which are perfect for families looking for a little more room to manoeuvre.
