This festival takes place near the end of November and brings many amazing magic acts from across the globe together in the scenic setting of Gibraltar. Whether you’re into card tricks, contortion acts or just plain old fun and games, the Magic Festival is a great way to see something new in Gibraltar. Whether you’re a local or out visiting Hotels in Gibraltar Spain you’ll certainly find some great entertainment for all the family during this magical festival.
So what’s it all about then?
Started 7 years ago with a range of bare bones magic shows across the territory, the popularity of the Gibraltar Magic Festival began to grow and grow over time until they were granted support from the Gibraltar Ministry of Culture. The reason for this was due to the huge success that their past shows had with locals and tourists alike. With stellar line ups which don’t just focus on magic but circus and music as well, the festival aims to bring guests abck to the great magic shows of the past.
This Festival isn’t just about watching, it’s about taking part too. Magic wouldn’t be magic without audience interaction and what could be more interactive than learning to do it yourself? There are many kid’s workshops taking place across the festival so make sure your card game is on form!
With Magicians from the line up taking to the street, you can expect to see some world class performances outside your very house! With so much going, on Gibraltar will be alive with a festival vibe like no other as circus acts, illusionists and some of the best magicians in the world today appear on the sunny streets of Gibraltar.
Jamie has been performing magic since the age of 12, so you know he’s got some experience. His unique ability to engage an audience has led to his travelling Europe with his act, making him a definite one to watch as an up and coming young magician.
Les Chapeaux Blanc
Using white suits on a black background Les Chapeaux Blanc is described as a “duel of illusions”, and is most definitely like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The act, created by two French magicians is a must see if you’re looking for a performance which really thinks outside the box. Using light, texture and illusion, this surreal act will have you hypnotised.
Raymon’s Rubiks cube game is like no other, his mastering of the complex square puzzle has led to him taking the game to new heights and incorporating multiple rubiks cube into his Spanish magic show.
Vik and Fabrini
Having worked in over thirty countries, this act will come to Gibraltar and near the Caleta Hotel with their incredible mix of humour, magic and surrealism. A definite must see, these two have a vast wealth of magical experience behind them.
