Gibraltar International Criterium 2017
The annual Gibraltar International Criterium takes place this year on December 3rd and is a 2 and half kilometre boke race route, made up of laps of the route depending on your grouping. The route takes you along the bay and back up Queensway, making it a scenic urban route for those looking for a good challenge. What’s even better is that the race is open to a range of ages and due to its town location is easily watched from the streets and buildings nearby. The race has a 10 pound entry fee and is welcoming of all ages, making it less exclusive than many other bike races. This means that if you’re a seasoned professional or a cycling novice, you can still enter the race.
Tattoo Marathon and the GBC Open Day
ON Wednesday the 13th of December, fans of marathon running can join in on the national charity tattoo marathon through Gibraltar. This event sees the local tattoo shop GIB Ink doing tattoos for people all day whilst raising money for a variety of charities. The great thing is that it’s not only open to Gibraltar dwellers but visitors as well, making it easy for those staying in hotels in Gibraltar to enter and strut their new tats. This year charities include Cancer Awareness UK as well as Autism Awareness alongside many others. The Tattoo marathon comes with a special price for charity based tattoos and also raises awareness of the amazing tattoo culture in the country.
